Why are mother and father chromosomes in meiosis?
So, I pretty much understand how it works and stuff, but I just have one question: It happens in the reproductive organs produce gametes (sex cells, in humans: egg / sperm) … So, how is it involved chromosomes from the mother and father, if it only happens in the reproductive organs and not during intercourse? Please help Thank you in advance to all respondents (and I will choose a best answer): D xxx Best Answer (s):

Meiosis is a form of cell division that occurs in the testes of males and the ovaries of females, and results in the formation of sperm and eggs. The purpose of meiosis is to reduce the chromosome number from diploid to haploid. Humans have a diploid number of 46 chomosomes. Meiosis reduces it to a haploid number of the 23rd During fertilization, the resulting zygote receives 23 chromosomes from the mother and 23 chromosomes from the father. This represents the diploid state. Thus, in both males and females, meiosis reduces the chromosome number in the middle and the contribution of the chromosomes from both parents to a zygote with 46 chromosomes. Therefore, the zygote receives half of its genetic material from the mother and half of its genetic material from the father to the diploid state wiederherzustellen. So is the combination of genetic material from both parents occurs at fertilization, when the sperm enters the egg.

because the eggs / sperm are haploid (n) and body cells are diploid (2n). We have 46 chromosomes or 23 pairs, however, the egg / sperm cells have only 23 chromosomes (haploid). so when … You know, happens, the sperm actually swim to the egg and the sperm and the egg kind of merge into a zygote (fertilized egg) The concept has become known. the zygote has 46 pairs chromosomes/23, 23 and 23 of sperm from the egg … That’s all I hope it helps!

. One who ask the sperm or egg, then “mother” and “father” in this case are in your father and mother They do not apply to the parents of the baby from the sperm or egg (ie you and your partner) are meant to be made. Half of the chromosomes came from your father and half from your mother. Therefore we have pairs of chromosomes. During meiosis, the pairs and line separated. Since they are only molecules and no markings on them are mum and dad, the only way we have described.
