Do I need a license to babysit in my home in Kansas?
I posted an add on craigslist to babysit and got reported because I was “illegally having a childcare in my home” because I offered to watch in their home or mine… right now I only have my own daughter…
I live in Kansas… I don’t want to start a “day care” just watch one child besides mine at a time….
Do you know the legal requirements… I’ve tried searching online and all I can find is how to get licensed.

The laws are usually local ones for childcare regulations. Contact the town you live in and they will tell you the rules. You also need to be aware that if you are in an apartment or rental house they may also have rules against it.
